Warm Welcome from the Organizers

Dear Members of the Material Forming Community,

On behalf of John von Neumann University, we welcome you to the 30th annual flagship event of ESAFORM. While our university might be a new name in the market, our engineering heritage runs deep. The conference is proudly hosted by our largest faculty, the GAMF Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, where engineering education has been thriving for over 60 years. Today, GAMF is a bustling hub of training around 3,500 students in mechanical, vehicle, logistics, and computer science engineering as well as in our brand-new electrical engineering program.

When our team took on the honor of organizing ESAFORM 2027, we knew we wanted to create something memorable. Celebrating 30 years of scientific synergy is a milestone that belongs to all of us (researchers, lecturers, industry experts and students).

To match the weight of this jubilee, we chose a host city that is as grand as ESAFORM’s history. Budapest, a vibrant metropolis of 1.7 million people, is ready to open its doors to you. It is a city uniquely equipped for international gatherings, boasting hundreds of diverse hotels to suit every preference, and a highly efficient transit network featuring 4 metro lines (including Continental Europe's very first underground railway). As you explore the city, you will be walking through spectacular UNESCO World Heritage areas, like the panoramic banks of the Danube, the historic Buda Castle Quarter, and the elegant Andrássy Avenue.

Beyond the lecture halls, we encourage you to explore the city culture and join us in raising a toast to ESAFORM's three decades of excellence during our social events. Thank you for your contributions and your dedication to our shared field.

„The earth is beneath you, keep it clean

The sky is above you, be grateful for it

The ladder is within you”

(Sandor Weores)

We look forward to meeting you all in Budapest in April 2027!

Sincerely,

The Local Organizing Committee of ESAFORM 2027
